|
With a totally new Little Mermaid ride for kids, to a new meet and greet area for Disney Princesses coupled with plenty of opportunity for the children to get dressed up and sparkle like Tinker bell.
Beauty and the Beast is high on the agenda and apparently there will be a brand new ride for that Disney classic too, in addition a ‘dark’ ride is rumoured to be on the cards adding mystery and intrigue to the developments.
The Beauty and the Beast classic is being re-released next year in conjunction with its 20th Anniversary.
A new “Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid” will be replacing the existing Ariel’s grotto, so there will be plenty of opportunity to meet and greet the characters!
The closure of some of Walt Disney World's Fantasyland’s adventures and rides as of 12th April is part of a wider planned 3 year update of the existing rides and attractions at Magic Kingdom. The expansion programme which begin to feature from 2012 onwards allows for the Dumbo experience to double in size and will be called ‘Dumbo’s Flying Circus’.
There will also be new to celebrate summer as of June called the ‘Main Street Electrical Parade’. With Tinker Bell leading the parade and a new slot including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, along with classic Disney character Pinocchio!
“After the sun goes down, our Walt Disney World parks will light up the night with ‘Summer Nightastic!’, ” commented Meg Crofton, President of Walt Disney World Resort.
