Disney Cruise Line Holidays - What to expect guide

Introduction

Disney Cruise Line

Disney Cruises are a brilliant way of taking the family, teenagers or even younger children on a magical holiday on the high seas. Here we provide you with information to get you into the sailing mood. Disney operates two cruise ships called Disney Magic and Disney Wonder both of which are up-to-date with the latest technology, games and the bedrooms are pretty decent too. If you are a regular on the cruise scene or have never been out to sea at all, Disney Cruise line is definitely worth a try. It has everything you need and most importantly all you have to do is show up, food is taken care of with an extensive choice of dining, entertainment and there is plenty to keep the kids occupied with from live shows, theatres, deck parties, swimming pools, youth clubs, you name it.

Disney Cruise Line offers a range of destinations such as the Bahamas, Caribbean, Europe, Transatlantic crossings either way from or to Europe usually taking around 14 nights. Bearing in mind that depending on which cruise destination you head for, your starting port may be different, so probably always best to check this with your travel agent or booking adviser before you travel.

Disney Cruise line have also recently announced that they are building 2 more brand new cruise ships called Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy and being purposely built with families in mind. Disney has done a great job over the years in entertaining and providing great fun for all. These ships will be in service in 2011 and 2012 respectively and will be far bigger than their sister ships Disney Magic and Disney Wonder.

Disney Cruise Line

In terms of awards and standards Disney Cruise line has won plenty in its history, most recently winning the 'World's Best' award from the readers of a leading travel magazine. Disney Cruise line also ranks 3rd globally as one of the best cruise line operators anywhere, so it really does say something about the quality you can expect.

In terms of fuel surcharges, and this is an area many travellers have to spend more of their money on in taxes on aviation or travel, Disney Cruise line has pursued a policy of trying to eradicate any charges for passengers of its cruises. Naturally you'd need to check this when you book back in the UK, but we feel that this underlines Disney's commitment to making your trip more affordable and enjoyable.
