Cinderella.
The 12th in Walt Disney's Animated Classics series, Cinderella was released in 1950. It is based on the fairy story 'Cedrillon' by Charles Perrault. The film received three Academy Award nominations for Best Song (Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo), Best Sound and Original Music Score. Cinderella is perhaps the most magical story of all the Disney Princesses as it captures the dream being sought out by a Prince in search of his true love.
Cinderella is the pretty, dearly loved daughter and only child of a widowed aristocrat. Her father remarries the arrogant self-admiring Lady Tremaine who has two daughers, Anastasia and Drizella, by a previous marriage. The sisters are the same age as Cinderella and being both plain and socially lacking they are referred to as the ugly sisters. They are bitterly resentful of the charming and much admired Cinderella.
After the death of her kind and loving father, Lady Tremaine soon shows her wicked side and forces Cinderella to become a servant to the household. Despite these hard conditions, Cinderella grows into a kind, gracious and beautiful young woman; qualities that her stepsisters don't possess and are overtly jealous of.
As Cinderella dutifully goes about her chores, singing as she works, she becomes friends with the animals that live in the house, amongst them are a bloodhound called Bruno, a horse and two mice called Gus and Jaq.
Cinderella always dreams of a better life, but, with days spent doing chores from dusk to dawn, it seems that these dreams may never come true. However, in spite of her circumstances, she does not despair and holds onto her hopes and wishes, believing that they will one day become reality...and that reality edges a little closer when Cinderella hears about a grand ball being held by the Prince. Cinderella is determined to go to the ball but her wicked step sisters ruin her dress and sabotaging her chances.
Finally in the pit of despair Cinderella is visited by her Fairy Godmother, a benevolent character that makes Cinderella the belle of the ball! With a wave of her magic wand, the Fairy Godmother turns Cinderella's torn dress into a beautiful white gown with glass slippers, a pumpkin into a glistening coach, the horse into a coachman and Gus and Jacques into magnificent horses.
The Prince is immediately captivated by Cinderella's beauty and the two spend the evening dancing through the castle grounds and fall in love. As the clock strikes midnight, Cinderella, remembering the strict conditions of fairy godmother's spell, flees from the castle, leaving behind one of her glass slippers behind – the glass slipper that the Prince holds on to in order to eventually find Cinderella. As Cinderella is eventually revealed to be the true owner, the Prince makes her his bride. It is safe to say that Cinderella and the Prince lived happily ever after.....a wonderful story!

The Work Song. Cinderella, Cinderella All I hear is Cinderella, from the moment I get up till shades of night are falling There isn't any letup, I hear them calling, calling "Go up and do the attic and go down and do the cellar, you can do them both together Cinderella."
